The Difference Between Winners and Losers

The Difference Between Winners and Losers

In today’s society there are winners, and there are losers. That may seem somewhat harsh, but it’s the reality of the world we live in. Human beings by nature are ego driven and competitive, it’s in our nature to always compete with others, even on a subconscious level, no matter how trivial the matter.

This is not a bad thing as “competition” is the most compelling force that ignites DRIVE.  Whether we are competing against a friend, opponent, co-worker, or ourselves, there are some who more often than not

win”, and others who more often than not “lose”.

Winning” in this instance can be articulated as setting your mind on a very specific result, and taking massive action until that result is achieved.   But how is it that some people seem to always be moving their lives forward, and others remain stagnant, in a rut, or unable to ever achieve anything noteworthy in life?

The answer lies within one’s mindset.

What’s the difference between a winner and a loser- it’s not about outcome, because winners can technically lose and still be winners; but what are the differences in character and in their actions?

What separates a Winner from a Loser?

Today I’m going to list several key differences that separate Winners from Losers…

WINNERS LOSERS
Winners focus on solutions. Loser’s focus on problems
Winners own their mistakes and learn from them. Losers blame others and make excuses.
Winners set goals. Losers fear goal setting.
Winners are not above performing any task, regardless how small. Losers view certain tasks and responsibilities as beneath them.
Winners take their health and fitness as a priority. Losers may make an effort, but when instant gratification is not attained they deviate back to their losing ways.
Winners understand that consistency is the only way to achieve a successful outcome. Losers expect to achieve results and a desired outcome overnight.
Winners explore different strategies when something does not go as planned. Losers keep doing the same thing over and over and expect a different result.
Winners plan and schedule their day. Losers fail to plan or schedule anything.
Winners understand that failure is part of the process and treat it as a learning experience. Losers get overwhelmed and immediately give up when faced with failure or rejection.
Winners work hard whether someone is watching or not. Losers avoid work and do only what’s needed to get by.
Winners put forth the max amount of effort towards any task they take on. Losers put forth the least amount of effort in order to meet minimum criteria, if even that.
Winners are persistent and conform to change. Losers give up as soon as an obstacle presents itself.
Winners give back. Losers take more than they give.
Winners read books. Losers watch TV or spend all of their free time on social media.
Winners surround themselves with people who bring the best out of them. Losers surround themselves with other losers.
Winners constantly expand the boundaries of their comfort zone. Losers stay within their comfort zone.

Change your outlook, change your life…
