Why ‘Calories In, Calories Out’ is Killing Your Progress

Calories in, calories out”. It’s bullsh*t.

Yeah, “it works.” Technically.

But you’ll still look like sh*t with your shirt off. Sure, you can eat less calories than you burn and “lose weight.”

But weight loss and fat loss are not the same. Not even close.

You know it’s possible to lose weight but actually get fatter simultaneously? If you under eat, do endless cardio, and don’t get enough protein and nutrition…

Your body isn’t just burning fat- it’s melting away valuable lean muscle mass.

So the number on the scale might go down, but
your body fat percentage goes up!

And now, you’re “skinny-fat” at best- soft, depleted, loose skin, stretch marks. Gross

No definition. No strength. No energy.

Here’s another inconvenient truth- you CAN be in a calorie deficit. You can even have lost weight. (highly unlikely)

But if you’re eating mostly processed foods, you won’t be metabolically healthy.

You won’t feel good. Your sex drive will suffer. Your skin will break out.

You’ll look a lot older then you really are and you’ll have a 50% greater risk of developing depression.

So if thats what you’re after, no need to read any further.

But if achieving a legit fitness transformation and building a body that your proud of and that commands immediate respect…

The formula is simple:

• Daily calorie deficit of at least 600 calories (The MyFitnessPal app makes tracking seamless)
• Eat primarily nutrient dense, whole foods
• Consume 1 gram of protein per pound of your goal weight daily (non-negotiable)
• Prioritize strength training (80% resistance training, 20% cardio)

A high protein diet + strength training = CHEAT CODE for fast, sustainable fat loss.

By focusing on protein intake and weight training-you’ll build muscle. And muscle?

It’s the only thing that improves how your body looks, feels, and functions.

If your goal is to be smaller, weaker, and have less energy…Calories in, calories out will work.

But something tells me your goal is to…

Be proud of how your body looks naked? Feel unstoppable? Be metabolically optimized?

Have the energy, strength, and confidence you did at 21. Yes?

I want that for you too. Which is why it’s important you understand the following:

The world’s strongest man didn’t earn that title by doing nothing but cardio.

The top male and female fitness competitors in the world didn’t build their physiques on processed foods, fast food, or low protein diets.

They fueled their bodies with real food, real nutrition that energized them.

They built muscle by training with intensity, intention, and discipline and that muscle helped them burn even more fat- with 0 effort.

The more lean muscle your body has, the faster your metabolism (resting metabolic rate) and more calories you burn when doing NOTHING.

Muscle is “metabolically active”. Which is a fancy way of saying it takes more energy (calories) to maintain than fat does.

Because even when you’re not moving, your body has to work and burn calories just to keep muscle tissue alive.

So if fitness transformation is what you’re after;
Stop chasing weight loss. Start chasing strength.

•Meal prep so you always have a fridge full of clean food ready to eat in minutes.
•Hit your daily protein intake without exception.
•More weight lifting.

The key is to EAT BETTER. NOT LESS.

Build a body that burns more, performs better, feels powerful, and turns heads wherever you go.

That’s the standard.
