Why YOU MUST Be Fit

Why YOU MUST Be Fit

This message could completely change your perspective and mindset as it relates to your health, wellness & fitness goals…

It would mean a lot to me if you took a minute to read it today.

So I believe that WE, as human beings, have a moral obligation to be fit, healthy, confident & able to live our absolute best lives possible.

And so we’re clear, I’m not talking about just looking good, having six-pack abs, or setting PR’s in the weight room…

I’m talking about living a strong life.

I’m talking about living a life rich in integrity, discipline, and self-respect.

And recognizing that those things start with making decisions that are in our own best interest every day as it relates to the foods we put in our bodies and the exercise we need to be doing.

“Something”, whether God, the Universe, or whatever higher power, thought that you and I were special enough to give us LIFE.

We didn’t have to do anything for it – it was a gift.

A gift that statistically speaking, we had a 400 trillion to 1 chance of receiving!

Whether you’re aware of it or not, every decision you make or don’t make has a direct impact on your life and will ultimately be part of your story.

I don’t know about you, but when it’s all said and done, I want to be proud of the story my kids, kids, kids hear about me & the way I chose to live my life.

I owe it to them to set the best example I can so I can try and leave the world a little better than how I found it.

WE OWN IT TO THEM.

WE owe it to our parents for bringing us into the world & although they may not have been perfect, we know they’ll be so proud to see us fit, healthy & living our best life!

WE owe it to our families, whether bound by blood or not because it’s unfair to put them in a position where they may have to suffer the financial, emotional & stressful burdens associated with dealing with a potential obesity-related illness & sickness that we brought on ourselves by our lifestyle choices.

WE owe it to our significant others, as they deserve only the very best version of us. NOT a deteriorating, out-of-shape, lethargic downgrade from what they initially fell for. They deserve better than that.

WE owe it to our kids, or any kids for that matter, as WE are what they have to look up to. Like it or not, they’ll model our actions and follow the examples that are set for them accordingly.

WE owe it to our next generation, as predisposing them to poor genes & putting them at a higher risk of disease, depression, low self-esteem, and low confidence is extremely irresponsible.

WE owe it to every member of the military who became paralyzed or disabled in combat and would give anything to have the opportunity to exercise just 1 more time…

WE owe it to anyone throughout history who served in the Armed Services and paid the ultimate sacrifice by giving their lives fighting for our freedom.

But most importantly, WE really owe it to ourselves.

This week, I have just one simple request for you…

Do Better.
