HOW TO PREVENT A HANGOVER: WHILE YOUR DRINKING

EAT A HEALTHY MEAL

Stick with high, lean protein, fats, and fiber-filled greens. Consume 1-2 hours before you start drinking.

AVOID SODA MIXERS!

The sugar mixed with the alcohol throws your digestive process out of wack and carbonation has been shown to increase the rate of alcohol absorption!

TAKE 400MG ALPHA-LIPOIC ACID AND 3000MG VITAMIN C.

ALA is a powerful antioxidant that helps your body produce glutathione which supports liver detox and immunity. Vitamin C helps to block the conversion of alcohol into aldehyde, the most hangover causing metabolite that also causes very fast aging, wrinkles, etc.

LOAD UP ON ELECTROLYTES!

I’m “that guy” who brings Hydracharge by Kaged Muscle Supplements, an electrolyte/hydration supplement, out with me when I go out drinking. I throw it right in my drinks or the waters I drink during the night. Dehydration depletes your body of electrolytes which then trigger hangover symptoms. So if you take in enough electrolytes and water, it’s physically impossible to experience common hangover symptoms that primarily stem from dehydration

DRINK 1 WATER IN BETWEEN EVERY DRINK.

So simple! Yet 99% of people will be too lazy or too “cool” to do this -and will pay the price the next day!

STICK TO ONE KIND OF DRINK.

This will avoid upsetting your stomach.

HOW TO PREVENT A HANGOVER: AFTER YOU DRINK

DRINK LOTS OF WATER BEFORE BED.

Keep drinking throughout the night as well. Think of this part like a detox cycle!

DON’T EAT GARBAGE AT 2 AM!

That pizza, Taco Bell or massively, greasy Denny’s meal you think is “soaking up the alcohol”, yea, that’s not true. You’ve already put enough toxins into your body, adding processed, sugary, greasy foods will only intensify a hangover. Eat a clean, healthy meal, high in healthy fats and protein, a protein shake, or if you don’t feel hungry, some berries or a banana to get some good nutrition in your system.

TAKE ANOTHER SERVING OF ALA AND VITAMIN C.

Before bed and the next morning.

MORE ELECTROLYTES!

Before bed and throughout the following day! Sometimes those hangover symptoms creep up on us if we don’t see the process through.

WORKOUT THE NEXT MORNING!

I realize this one won’t be popular, but the endorphins that are released in the brain while exercising actually have the ability to treat hangover symptoms! You’ll also sweat out toxins that shouldn’t be in your body and burn off the extra calories you took in the night before. Most people won’t do this. Fortunately, you’re not “most people”.

So there you have it. Don’t get in your own head thinking it’s “too much” or you don’t have the time for it.

Look at it from a different perspective. As someone who understands how valuable their time is, hence why you can’t afford not to do it!

Don’t let your next day, or day’s productivity, attitude, energy, and value be completely destroyed because you were too lazy to drink some water and take some very simple measures that support your own best interests.

You deserve to feel your best at all times and it’s your responsibility to do whatever it takes to force that outcome!
