The Truth About Monday’s

One or 2 things are going to happen this week – and every new week to come for that matter.

We’re going to make the healthy choices needed to move us closer to our goals…

Or we won’t.

When it comes to the process of accomplishing our goals, or doing anything great for that matter, sometimes it can be overwhelming when you’re standing at the bottom of the mountain top and realizing how far you have to go to reach the mountain top!

We will never be able to conquer that mountain by stressing about how long it’s going to take or how far we have to go…

The way we reach the top is by taking it one step at a time and focusing only on the next step of the journey.

In practical terms, this translates to focusing on winning the day, every day.

I love winning – but I would say I hate losing more than I love winning!

So I do everything in my power (which is a lot) to set myself up to FORCE THE RESULT I’m after, which of course, allows me to move forward, whether with my fitness goals, my business or in my personal life.

Every Sunday I make sure I have my healthy meal prep planned for the week ahead, so no matter how hectic things get, I always have a, clean high protein meal within “arms length.”

I also ALWAYS do a hard workout on Sunday to create some momentum that I can then take with me into the new week…

I create a list of the most important tasks that I need to accomplish for the week, then I plan my schedule in a way that allows me to be as efficient and productive as possible with my time…

And I make sure to go to bed early so I can wake up early recharged, focused and ready to attack the day!

Mondays set the tone for the rest of the week, so it’s important we come out of the gate strong!

We have to shake off the weekend on Sunday night, recalibrate our minds and focus on the upcoming mission at hand…

Which is to crush the week!

We can dramatically INCREASE the probability of winning the week by not just winning the day on Monday…

But ABSOLUTELY DOMINATING it!!!

My Sunday routine is not just an ordinary “routine”, it’s more of a strategy to achieve victory if you will!

It’s worked well for me over the years, so I highly suggest you give it a try!

Here are 11 practical action steps that you can take this week to put yourself in the best position to WIN and MOVE FORWARD with accomplishing your health & fitness goals, or any goal for that matter…

  1. Wake up earlier…
  2. Spend some time in the morning practicing gratitude & doing some kind of personal development to put positive information in your brain…
  3. Pick up the frequency & intensity of your workouts to accelerate the fat loss process…
  4. Be more consistent with your diet & mindful of the healthy foods you’re putting in your body…Do this by investing time to meal prep during the week or make it easy by using a healthy meal delivery service like Nutrition Solutions.
  5. Invite someone who may need some help to go workout or share with them some dieting tips and anything you’re doing that may help them accomplish their goals faster…
  6. Help someone who may need a little support at the moment…
  7. Don’t complain…
  8. Show up for work 15 minutes early…
  9. Make 5 extra calls, send 5 more emails or take the time to hand write 5 thank you cards to customers or prospects…
  10. Make it a point to make your work space meticulously neat, clean & organized & take a little time to demonstrate a little more pride & attention to details.
  11. Meet the deadline…

If there’s an opportunity to make something a little better than how you found it or go the extra mile, whether at work, in life or with YOURSELF, TAKE ADVANTAGE of that opportunity…

Because that’s what champions do!

Remember, the reward for work well done is the opportunity to do more.

When we make a dedicated effort to improve ourselves and help others do the same, the benefits synergistically compound and spill over into every area of life!

We have the opportunity to take a step forward this week and move ourselves closer to accomplishing our GOALS!
