What’s Up With That Gut?

What’s Up With That Gut?

Do you ever struggle with unexplained weight gain, bloating, skin problems, indigestion, heart burn or gas?
Up to 70% of Americans without even realizing it, are infected with colonies of a parasitic fungus that as we speak, are living inside of their intestines, causing a multitude of health related issues.

What we eat can effect the way we look, feel, think, and behave.

The human gastrointestinal tract has often been referred to as the “second brain”, and for good reason. Nobel Prize winning microbiologist, Elie Metchnikoff, was once quoted as saying, “death begins in the colon”. Based on his life’s work and years of research, he concluded that disease and the negative effects of aging are mostly due to toxic bacteria that starts in the gut.

Unfortunately, eating healthy foods regularly just isn’t enough to prevent some off these issues.
Today I’m going to tell you what you should be doing daily to help you look, feel, and perform better, and help slow down the aging process.

Fix your gut, fix your health…

Sounds easy enough right?

So we know that exercise and healthy eating are 2 key behaviors linked to a longer life expectancy. But why is it that some of us, despite staying on track with our diet, and eating healthy the majority of the time, still struggle with unexplained weight gain, uncomfortable bloating, digestion issues, and unwanted extra inches around the waist line?

If you can relate, probability suggests your digestive system is being impaired and/or overwhelmed by harmful bacteria.

The solution: DAILY USE OF PROBIOTICS!!!

Probiotics, which I’ve identified in a previous article as an essential supplement I take everyday, as well as recommend to everybody regardless of goal, are live bacteria and yeast that are actually good for you, and will help improve on the overall efficiency and effectiveness of ones digestive system. Probiotics help ease the transport of food through your gut. They improve on efficiency of the conversion and breakdown of foods into energy, and allow your body to effectively utilize more of the nutrition you consume.

WHY YOU NEED IT?

They help treat a variety of digestive health problems, including but not limited to irritable bowel syndrome, ingestion, heart burn, bloating, diarrhea, and common stomach aches.

They also can aid in the treatment of non-digestive related conditions such as acne, eczema, urinary tract and yeast infections, allergic reactions,  common colds, cold sores, gum disease, and bad breath.

Replace good bacteria that may be lost when you take anti-biotics, or eat foods with certain chemicals present.

They will lower the overall amount of bad bacteria circulating in the body that increase the risk of infections and other health problems.

Combined with balanced, healthy, consistent eating habits, they will aid in weight loss by allowing your body to better absorb and put to use the nutrients you consume everyday.

Can permanently take inches off your waistline by eliminating painful, uncomfortable, and annoying bloating that results from the improper digestion of the foods you eat daily.

Typically when I recommend supplements I use, I subsequently get inundated with questions about which one to get.
So I’ll leave you with this; as I am not loyal to one brand or line of supplements, nor do I have a probiotic currently that I swear by, (I personally don’t believe that a single company makes all of the best types of supplements)

When choosing a quality probiotic, just be sure the bacterial strains are in the billions. The higher, the better. Also, always opt with one that has to be maintained in a refrigerator. And like most things in life, the more expensive, the better it probably is. 🙂
