How I stay shredded year round at 40

Stop overthinking it.

Personally, I’ve never counted macros in my life.

You don’t need to cut out carbs or attempt to eat as little as possible.

You certainly don’t have to do endless sessions of boring, steady state cardio.

The best way to start dropping fat fast, is to start prioritizing protein.

Consuming 1 gram of protein per pound of your goal weight daily will change your life.

So simple. So effective.

Protein is the number 1 building block of lean muscle.

The more lean muscle you have, the easier it will be to lose fat, stay lean, and feel amazing.

Lean muscle speeds up your metabolism, allowing your body to burn more calories and fat during the day.

Some people will say it’s best to eat 6x a day.

Some say you should only eat 1-2x a day.

Personally, I’ve found 4 smaller meals and 1-2 shakes a day to be most efficient, sustainable, and effective.

70% of my protein comes from food, 30% from a protein supplement.

How many meals you have a day isn’t super important.

What’s important is that you structure your diet in a way that you’re able to hit your daily protein goal and stay in a calorie deficit.
