Starbucks: Drink This, Not That

Starbucks: Drink This, Not That

Is it just me or does it seem like hanging out at Starbucks is the “trendy, new thing” in pop culture these days? I’m not hating, I often take to the local coffee shop to get some work done, interact with other young business professionals in the community, and on the rare occasion when I need a mid-day pick me up.

But whether you’re an avid coffee drinker, looking for a change of work place, or just meeting friends for a little caffeine infused conversation, making the proper choices when it comes to the coffee we drink can make a huge difference on our health, the way we feel, and probably what the majority of our shallow society deem as most important, the way our bodies look.

Calories Saved= 310

Keep in mind the most beneficial times to consume coffee are first thing in the morning, 30-60 minutes prior to a workout, or post meal!  Also, please note that while caffeine has several benefits to ones health when used in moderation, it is still technically classified as a drug and the body can develop a tolerance to it over time.  To avoid caffeine addiction limit yourself to no more than 1-3 8oz cups per day.  Stay tuned for more creative, fun recipes in the very near future!
