How Many Times a Day Should You Eat to Lose Weight

There’s absolutely no need to eat 6x a day.

Unless you’re a pro athlete or bodybuilder getting ready for a show…

There’s absolutely no benefit in eating 6 meals a day.

So how many times a day should you be eating?

Chances are you’ve heard conflicting info on the topic.

Allow me to clarify.

There is no right or wrong answer here.

It just depends on what your goal is.

If at least part of your goal is to look better naked, which I’m sure it is…

Meaning lose fat.

Increase lean muscle definition.

Improve your body composition etc.

Eating 4x a day is the most efficient number to get the best results in the shortest amount of time.

There are MANY reasons for this.

First, by breaking your daily nutrition into 4 high-protein, nutrient-dense meals per day…

You won’t overeat, or eat something you shouldn’t because you’re starving and didn’t eat all day.

Eating high protein, in smaller portions 4x a day keeps nutrient intake systematic – increasing mental sharpness, focus, and productivity.

Eating 4x a day and having your last meal at least 2 hours before bed will lower stress and improve sleep quality.

Better sleep quality and lower stress will help with fat loss provided you’re in a calorie deficit.

This next one is perhaps the most important reason of all to eat 4 times per day.

Diet-wise, the BEST way to lose fat, build muscle, and have a better physique overall…

Is to consume 1 gram of protein per pound of lean body mass or 1 gram per pound of goal weight.

So if you weigh 150-220 pounds, for example, and were only eating 2x a day…

It’s unrealistic to think you’ll be able to eat 75-110 grams of protein per meal.

For 99% of us, it’s just way too much food at once.

Not enough protein is one of the most common reasons people struggle to lose weight.

Eating 4x a day makes hitting protein intake EFFORTLESS.

Pro Tip: The way I stay shredded year-round at 40…

Is making sure I get 1 gram of protein per pound of my ideal body weight EVERY DAY.

70% from protein superfoods like grass-fed beef, bison, elk, venison, humanely raised poultry & organic eggs.

30% from a high-quality protein supplement.

I have one shake post-workout and one as a meal replacement.

The meal replacement I made with grass-fed whole milk and one raw organic egg mixed in. (Yes, raw)

Finally, since most don’t eat 4 meals a day or a combination of meals and meal replacements…

Getting on a consistent eating schedule with 4 smaller meals actually shocks the metabolism.

Organically increasing the number of calories your body burns daily in the process.

I eat my 4 Nutrition Solutions meals in a 10-hour feeding window. Which means I fast for 14 hours.

This is what works well for my schedule, but do your best to have at least a full 12 hours of fasting each day.

From my experience personally, professionally, and through my contacts…

Eating 4 times a day is a common denominator I’ve observed in many pro athletes, high-performance entrepreneurs, and bio-hackers.

I thank you for taking the time today and sincerely hope this was helpful.
