Never Do This…

Do you weigh yourself daily?
What about multiple times a day on some days?
Does the reading on the scale have the unique ability to completely F up your day instantaneously?
Are you guilty of mentally terrorizing yourself on most days by letting a mechanical device control you life, offset your mood, and hinder your overall productivity on a given day?

Is your "diet" sustainable?

The only “diets” that work are the ones that DON’T leave you hungry after each meal, or cause you to fantasize about about cupcakes, cookies, ice cream, or any other miscellaneous bakery items intermittently throughout the day. If you are experiencing either of these factors, it’s because you’ve restricted your body of everything it wants, and in actuality really needs.

Only A-holes Skip Breakfast

“Breakfast is the most important meal of the day”. So you’ve heard this sooooo many times I’m sure, but the reality is most of us actually have no idea why exactly this statement is true. Breakfast is actually defined as the meal where you literally “break the fast” of all the hours you have not eaten due to sleep. We have all been reminded more times than we would probably care to admit, to always consume a morning meal, yet 31 million Americans opt to skip breakfast regardless.

The best detox….

What if I told you that there are now detox options and smoothie recipes available that not only jumpstart your metabolism, but will help clean your system out and won’t leave you with a sore anus and walking funny for a couple days after the fact? That they actually taste amazing, can easily curb any sweet tooth, help you lose weight, and have scientifically been proven to cure the most common illness that millions of Americans suffer from daily, FLS syndrome? (Feel like sh*t syndrome) 😉

Lose Weight Eating Ice Cream Before Bed!

So I wanted to let you in on one of my little secrets that helps me stay lean year round without losing my sanity in the process….
That is of course eating ice cream with peanut butter and chocolate syrup right before bed at least 6 days a week!
As I’ve said time and time again, the keys to sustainability and achieving success with ones diet are:

Post Workout Habits That Are Killing Your Gains

If you’re someone who maintains a CONSISTENT schedule with your workout routine, you deserve to not only mentally feel fulfilled and accomplished, but more importantly, physically achieve and see your progress as well. If for some reason you feel something is causing you to fall short, or you’re just not getting the gains you feel you should be despite a good diet and training schedule, perhaps the answer lies within your post workout behaviors.

Why Low Carb Diets Are Stupid

Without citing numerous (and boring) research and studies that have validated time after time just how dumb low carbohydrate “diets” are for athletes or anyone who’s primary goal is to build lean muscle while simultaneously losing fat, let me instead apologize for all the BS you’ve been fed by the trainer at your gym who obtained his certification over the weekend, (no offense to my personal trainer friends out there killing it!) or the nonsense you’ve come across on social media via fitness personalities with strong selfie games who look the part, but sadly have not the slightest clue about nutrition, biomechanics, kinesiology, and dieting in such a way that promotes sustainability, success, and long term results.

Shred Fat Fast Survival Guide

HERE’S THE DEAL…
99.3 times out of 100, anytime the word “fast” is incorporated as an adjective when describing ones results with a workout routine, diet, or supplement protocol, you can safely assume one or more of the following things:
It’s a fad diet in question, and any and all results are based off eating patterns consistent with short-term weight loss with NO regard for long term maintenance. Meaning no matter what, the diet will not be sustainable, and often, the dieter will end up fatter than when they started. Sad truth.
“Results” are solely based off temporary water loss.
It’s all b*llshit psychological marketing tactics.

What to drink when getting drunk

I drink. To be perfectly honest, I feel not the slightest bit guilty admitting it, nor do I have a problem attesting to the fact that some of the best nights, trips, and vacations I’ve experienced, alcohol has been involved. As a general rule of thumb, these days, if my next day’s productivity is hindered in any way, shape, or form, the value of the previous night is negated, as my time is simply too valuable to be wasted laying around all day with a nasty hangover. So the key of course, is to indulge in moderation.
